- How does the Lots2 service work?
- We are not a conventional courier therefore we work differently to couriers moving boxes and envelopes. Once you have received a quote from us you should choose which service you require, the Express, Priority 7 or Go Green service. Then it is best to advise the seller that you intend for Lots2 to collect the item/s and on what terms your service dictates e.g. Go Green service, collection within 7 working days, 1 Man collection etc. Then please complete your booking as per the instructions in your quote email. Once we have your completed booking we will contact you to take a credit/debit card payment or we can be paid using PayPal. Once payment is complete we will then contact the seller to outline the collection arrangements. On most occasions we are able to outline provisional collection and delivery dates within 72 hours of receiving your booking and you will be emailed with details.
- Which Lots2 services are available in which areas?
- We now offer all services across England & Wales subject to availability. This means we can offer same day collections and delivery on the Express service, turnaround items within a week on the Priority 7 service and, as ever, you can take advantage of our best prices on the Go Green service.
- Which service should I choose?
- Should collection/delivery be required on a specific day (e.g. only Saturday) and/or time then you should choose the Express service where available. We will try to meet specific requirements on the Priortiy 7 service where possible. If collection/delivery availability is reasonably flexible and it is understood that delivery can take more than 7 days then the Go Green service is sufficient. Look at it this way: The Express service is a black taxi that is faster and operates on your terms as opposed to the Go Green service that is a bus making multiple stops, takes a little longer but is going your way along with a few other people and the price is right!
- What is green about the Go Green Service?
- Help Lots2 reduce fuel consumption and CO2 by opting for the Go Green service. We try to complete jobs in similar areas on the same day to reduce our time, fuel bill and ultimately our CO2 emissions. We can only be responsible and efficient with our fuel emissions if our clients accept the delivery slots we offer in line with other operations in the similar area. The fuel and time savings are reflected in our service prices which assume customers are flexible/accommodating. If you or the other person we are collecting from have restricted or particular availability then it is best to let us know in advance and we can try to work around it.
- How does the Go Green Service work?
- When we receive a booking we try to identify the earliest possible collection and delivery possibilities. We then advise each party of the provisional collection and delivery dates. We urge that each party accepts the date given and we ask if there are any time restraints that we can try and work around when planning that date's collections and deliveries. Prior to the agreed date we will advise the 2 hour collection or delivery slot.
- Will the Go Green Service work for the seller?
- It is advisable to check with the seller before bidding to check their availability for collection. Why not send them a link to this page?
- What if the Go Green Service collection/delivery slot offered is not accepted?
- We will contact the seller and offer a collection slot within 7 working days (sometimes 10 days outside SE region) of your booking. If this slot is rejected (seller or 1 Man assistance unavailable) then collection and delivery will likely be delayed. We will try to be as flexible as possible but our vehicles are not in all areas every day of the week. Similarly, we will offer a delivery slot but delivery may be delayed if it can not be met by the client.
- 1 Man or 2 Man collection and delivery?
- Small/light items can obviously be handled by 1 man. If items require two people to safely remove/deliver then we can send 1 man if there is someone at the address to help the Driver remove/deliver the item. If in doubt opt for the 2 man service where available.
- Do Lots2 operate on Saturdays or evenings?
- Go Green service - London & most of M25: We complete the majority of our Go Green collections and deliveries on a Saturday and Sunday. This means we can arrange many London collections and deliveries on the same weekend. Locations that are close to the M25 may be given a collection/delivery slot on a weekday. Evening collections are generally available on the Express service only. Locations outside the M25 are typically scheduled for weekday appointments on the Go Green service. To specify collection/delivery on a specific day/time will require the Express service.
- Will the seller pack or wrap my items?
- In our experience few sellers of Collection Only items ever pack or wrap items in preparation for transport. Items we carry are strapped and secured during transportation and covered in transport blankets. Our storage facility is commercial therefore it is clean, dry and warm but no standard additional protection is offered. We will carry items that are not wrapped/protected but please note that insurance may be jeoparodised if damage occurs that could have been prevented by protective wrapping being in place at collection. You may wish to take advantage of our Pack & Protect Service (where available). For sofas and mattresses we offer polythene protective covers. For items such as tables, chests of drawers, wardrobes or any other similar items we can professionally wrap them in bubblewrap or foam wrap on arrival at the collection location for the journey to you. Contact us for more details.
- What sort of delivery slot do Lots2 provide?
- We always provide a 2 hour slot. This slot is agreed with the client at the collection/delivery address in advance and refers to our arrival time, not the completion of the collection/delivery. We always try to be flexible regarding the slots we provide but regular slots are provided between 7am-7pm (10am-4pm on weekdays in Central London or locations with restrictive parking). Again, if you require collection/delivery at a specific time it might be best to opt for the Express/Priority 7 Service.
- Will Lots2 move the item at either address?
- Our driver's are normally happy to assist with moving items beyond the kerbside and to or from the property although conditions apply. Normally additional charges apply for delivery to the 1st floor to cover our time and effort! Collection/delivery beyond the first floor is sometimes possible and will depend on the item and circumstances but will be subject to additional cost. Please enquire.
- Measure up!
- Please ensure your purchase will fit through doorways and stairwells in advance by measuring up!
- Is the quoted price fixed?
- Generally, yes, we will quote based upon the information provided at the quote stage. As much info as possible will produce a more accurate quote. Without an eBay item number all prices are indicative. Prices quoted assume collection/delivery from/to the ground floor. It is advisable to check with the seller where the item is to be collected from. Incomplete or misleading information may result in additional charges so it is best to check first.
- How and when do I pay?
- After submitting the online booking form we will contact you within 24 hours to take a card payment over the phone. Alternatively you may wish to pay by PayPal. We do require full payment before we can process the booking.
- Why should I choose Lots2?
- Take a look a our homepage - we publish our punctuality performance so naturally we take this very seriously. The few occasions we have been late were due to adverse traffic conditions (gridlocked motorways etc). We always complete the jobs we take on unlike many of our competitors - we won't gazump you if we get a more attractive job!
